View Full Version : OCX Fails to Self-Register

I have an application that uses a single OCX (MetaDraw). The problem is
that on some machines the OCX registers perfectly fine, but on others
the user (during the installation of the OCX) receives '[the name of the
OCX] fails to self-register.' error message. I tried having them
register the OCX using Regsvr32.exe, but that returns a 'LoadLibrary
failed.' error. Other users have no problem in installing and
registering the OCX. I'm thinking it's a specific setting on the user's
machine, but I don't know where to start looking. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Please make sure that you have all the proper OLE DLLs on the machines. You
should deploy those OLE DLLs with your application as an optional component
if possible.
