Hi All
I am a new subscriber to this list and I am evaluating Install Shield 12 Express.
I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle.
No matter how I set up my new installation, which I require to install on the root of either the C Drive or D Drive as a folder, the program defaults to E:\"MYPROGRAM".
Can any of you please help this novice sort out where he has gone wrong ???

In Step 1 Organize your project
in the General information tab under Product Properties
Change the INSTALLDIR variable to the path and folder you want as the default. for example: [WindowsVolume]MyProject or [PrimaryVolumePath]MyProject or c:\MyProject, etc.

If you want the user to be able to change this at install time make sure that in Step 4 Customize the Setup Appearance:
Check the Destination Folder Dialog

I was wondering if there is anyway to find the Oracle 10g Oracle_Home directory, either from the registry or other means and then set that \bin directory as the [INSTALLDIR] directory?
