View Full Version : supportdir doesn't seem to work correctly

I seem to be having a problem.
This is my code :

SdShowMsg("Please wait while setup is preparing to start the installation...",TRUE);

CopyFile (SUPPORTDIR^"NIPOSetup.ini", szTempFolder^"NIPOSetup.ini");

CopyFile (SUPPORTDIR^"NIPO CAPI Client Setup.exe", szTempFolder^"NIPO CAPI Client Setup.exe");

LaunchAppAndWait(szTempFolder^"NIPO CAPI Client Setup.exe","",LAAW_OPTION_NOWAIT);

I've put the necessary files in the support directory but they they don't seem
to be copying at all (and therefor cannot launch) .Could anyone give me a solution ( or a couple of solutions )?

Thanks in advance.

ps. I didn't have this problem in version 11.5

If you display the value of SUPPORTDIR in a MessageBox and then open the folder, is anything there?

(As an aside, you might have better luck in the InstallShield 12 non-Express forum (http://community.installshield.com/forumdisplay.php?f=211).)

mmm ok thanks for the reply.

As for an answer to the messagebox; I've done it and it points to another folder inside the temp folder ( c:\docucume~1\username\locals~1\temp\{8F744 etc. <- this one changes after each installation.

I've opened this folder and it seems it didn't copy my file ( Nipo capi client setup.exe <- the other installer ) at all.

Perhaps I'll try in the non-express forum , anyway thanks for your reply.
