Hi

As an added convenience to our demo and commercial users I've had an "Uninstall" menu item along with our product in the START menu. That has worked well in Developer 8. In ISv12, which I just upgraded to, this method no longer works since I recall reading that no idriver.exe needs to be placed on the installation machine. Prior to v12 I was doing a "idriver /M{guid} /uninstall". I wanted the user to be able to un-install either from the Control Panel or the START menu of our program.

How can I replace the old menu-based uninstall functionality for IS12? I'm aware where I can dig into the registry and find the ISv12 un-install info and .exe path, but this isn't something easy to invoke via a one-click menu item. Any new suggestions?

Take a look at what we populate in the Uninstall key - that should give you a hint how you might be able to leverage the setup.exe IS12 InstallScript MSIs will cache in the DISK1TARGET folder.
