View Full Version : Feature request: Stop showing ISScript.DLL extraction

I see no reason to show the end-user that ISScript.DLL is being extracted, installed, whatever. Let's just stick to the installation dialogs so we don't scare them that something is being extracted, installed, or something that they may not understand. I think now that this is no longer an MSI install of ISScript, we can put this dialog to bed.

Where are you seeing this? I'm looking at a Basic MSI and I don't see it from the setup.exe bootstrapper or from any table in the MSI. I do see a couple obsolete string table entries saying that the InstallScript engine is missing or out dated ... those could probably go.

Sorry, I should have clarified, you see the extra intro to your installation when using an InstallScript MSI project (and probably InstallScript project types too).
