Just an FYI for anyone doing installs and runs into this problem. See:


took me by surprise that this type of problem wouldn't be fixed in two successive releases. But it's all good - I have a solution now :)

Thank you for re-reporting this problem. We were unaware of it. The issue # for this problem is now IOC-000051252.

The workaround in the above link will work, however there is a simpler workaround:

1. Overrride the "OnUninstall" event under the "Advanced" tab.
2. Move the following lines:

// Added in 11.0 - Set appropriate StatusEx static text.

ABOVE the following calls:

// Show Status
SetStatusWindow( 0, "" );
Enable( STATUSEX );
StatusUpdate( ON, 100 );

currently the above line is just below these calls.

Rebuild and run the setup, the product name will then be displayed correctly.

I'm not using onUninstall event instead im handling same in OnMaintUIAfter.
So the fix provided above isnt working for me.
Any otehr workaround ??
