View Full Version : How do I include dependant DLLs only used for install time

During the install, the user can click on a button in one of the wizard panels which calls some of my custom code. This custom java code works fine but is dependant on some DLLs being in the user's PATH or in the current directory. I can't rely on the user already having these DLLs in their path or in their current directory, SO HOW do I include these DLLs as part of the install. Similar to putArchive() with jar files, how does one tell IS to "be aware of" dependant DLLs? I don't want to modify the user's path since, these DLLs are only used temporarily during the install. I tried using the "Execute Process" wizard action to copy these DLLs to the current directory, but there seems to be a bug in the Execute Process bean where it does not resolved Path Variables (e.g. $A(RESOURCES/bin/go.bat)

I have tried many other work arounds, but nothing seems to work.

I have spent numerous hours on this simple task and am getting frustrated (even more).

Thanks for any help.
