I go through the wizard and get as far as hitting the button for 'add project output' then I get these errors and vstudio exits.

Faulting application devenv.exe, version 8.0.50727.42, stamp 4333e699, faulting module frmwrklib.dll, version 11.50.0.45560, stamp 43e87cfe, debug? 0, fault address 0x0001ef89.

Hmmm...I can't seem to ever get that error. It sounds like you are creating your new project via the .NET wizard. I assume you are launch InstallShield, then running through the wizard, then expecting Visual Studio to launch with the installation added to your application in the Visual Studio solution.

Perhaps you could workaround the issue by launch Visual Studio, opening the solution that contains your code, then adding an InstallShield project to that solution. You can then go to the Files view of the InstallShield project and add the VS project outputs to your installation.

Yes, if I created the project and cancelled out of the wizard then went through and set the items myself I was able to avoid this error.
