We have an MSI installation that installs the MSDE2000 and our 2 databases. All works well. BUT, does anyone know a way to tell it not to display the SQL server icon in the system tray?

In the SQL installation Designer view, you go to Direct Editor view and then go to "shortcut" tables, there you will get options where you can change settings in the "Directory_" column...if it is getting displayed in the system tray....its directory_ is "SystemFolder"...you can change this where ever you want and you will get so many options for providing shortcuts....
Hope this helps....
