Hi there.

I am trying to modify the Custom Setup dialog for a basic MSI installation. I have the following feature structure.

ParentFeature
ChildFeature1
ChildFeature2

For the parent feature, I want the typical text box to display. However, when either of the child features are selected I want to display a bitmap. My attempted solution was to use the MsiSelectionTreeSelectedFeature as a condition to show or hide the feature. However, using the MsiSelectionTreeSelectedFeature property does not seem to do anything as a condition.

My condition is set as such:
Action: Hide
Condition: MsiSelectionTreeSelectedFeature <> "ParentFeature"
Action: Show
Condition: MsiSelectionTreeSelectedFeature = "MapData"

Basically, I want to show text for the description when the parent feature is selected in the tree. When Child1 or Child2 are selected then I want to show a bitmap image.

Is what I am trying to do the correct approach to this problem? Thanks.

bump - any ideas? Has anyone else used this property yet?
