View Full Version : Installing .NET Framework 2.0, SQL Express 2005 with v11; Can I install Web Services?

Hi,

when running through the release wizard, the option to install .NET framework 2.0 is not there. There also does not seem support for installing SQL Server 2005 Express (not surprising since it was just released). I had hoped that InstallShield would post an "update" to correct this?.

I also heard that Microsoft has a bootstrapper that installs SQL Express and the .NET framework 2.0. Is this the better option?

A last question: is there a way to install XP's web server (IIS 5.1) from my own setup?

Hi!
These are good questions.
Could you please send me a link to the mentioned MS bootstrapper?

Csaba.

Support for .NET 2.0 is coming in IS 11.5, which will allow installation of .NET 2.0 framework.

Not sure if 11.5 is going to directly support SQL Express 05 though.
