Is there a command line compiler that can compile ISM files? The only one I found was for Installscript projects ....

There is also ISSABld.exe for building on a clean machine.

do you know of any functionality for an automated build? I noticed that there is an automated section for building that uses VBScript ... do you know how good this is, or if Visual Build can incorporate this ?

There are many ways to appraoch it and the best solution would depend on how you currently do the rest of your build automation. There is no one size fits all solution.

Well right now I use visual Build. I need to add some merge modules and msi's to the build ... I am not sure what the best way would be to do these.

I am looking at the ISWiProject ... do you know how to build this into an MSI file after using the open project?
