Hello,
I'm creating my first installer using InstallShield 11 Professional Edition. How would I go about automatically aborting the installation if the user was not an admin user?

Basically I would like a dialog that would say "You must be an administrator of this machine to install this software", if the account the installation is run under is not an admin account.

Regards,
Matthew Lock

In Installation Designer go to Installation Information > General Information > Product Properties. Click the ellipses [...] button in the Install Condition row. Create a new condition: AdminUser and enter your error message. Note: instead of AdminUser you may want to use Privileged to enable installtion for a restricted user if privilege elevation has been allowed by the administrator.

Thanks a lot. That worked nicely.

Need to have a message appear at the beginning of the Uninstallation if a user is not an Administrator and run UnInstallation via running Setup.EXE file (same one that was used for Installation). How?

That should work just fine at uninstallation. Is it not working?
