View Full Version : Urgent Help - Install Fails at end

I have an install program that I've been developing which has been working successfully until now. For some unknown reason I'm getting at the end of the install a message that says 'The wizard was interrupted before <project-name> could be completely installed'.

When the install was running successfully I was getting a fatal error when trying to uninstall, I used Windows Install Clean Up (msicuu.exe) to remove it, after this is when I started getting the wizard interrupted message.

Would anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I now have a project that I can't use and don't really want to start again.

I was playing around with custom actions and putting them in the execute sequence - are there any special rules with this? I also removed my CA's with no success.

Thanks, Rick

p.s. I have included my log file if that helps..

Is there an error code listed in the log file? For an error, a log file should be created in the Temp folder, or you can manually create one with the command:

msiexec /i product.msi /L*v everything.log
