View Full Version : Change default IIS website home directory to [INSTALLDIR]

I am fairly new to InstallShield. One of the install requirement is to change the default IIS website home directory to the [INSTALLDIR]. (For some reason, we dont want to use a Virtual Directory to our application. We want our application to be in the IIS root directory)
Since we also want to give users the option of choosing the folder in which they want to install our application, we want to change the IIS website home directory the [INSTALLDIR]. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks in advance

The IIS view does not support setting properties of virtual directories and web sites that are already created. You only set properties for NEW web sites or directories.

Perhaps you can use the ISIISMetaData table in the Direct Editor.

Thanks David. We have created a new website with a different port number and used the home directory as the [INSTALLDIR].
