Hi,

How to create a new window, apart from the main installation window, to display the files being copied during installation? Please let me know.

Thx
Vivek

What do you want the window to look like? The default script calls Enable(STATUSEX), which you can replace with Enable(STATUSDLG) or Enable(STATUS)...

Hi,

I want to display a window at the lower left or right portion of the screen to display the files being copied with a progress bar. The main window has to be in the centre of the screen.

Thx,
Vivek

I'm not sure what you mean by "main window", but you can call Enable(STATUSDLG) [or similar] along with PlaceWindow to move the smaller progress indicator to one of the screen corners...

It is possible to create a Window using Control events in the Basic MSI dialog.

Hope this link guides to use control events

Sounds a lot like this thread where I posted some sample code based on the same suggestions as mentioned here:

Note that the KB article mentioned above applies only to MSI projects, not InstallScript or InstallScript MSI projects.

I would recommend following the above advice of using Enable( STATUSOLD ) or whatever and PlaceWindow.
