View Full Version : Radio Button Group disables controls in its area

I've got a radio button group with two radio buttons, and I need to place an edit box control right next to the text of one of the radio buttons. What I've discovered is that if the edit box control is within the boundaries of the radio button group, the edit box is effectively disabled. It's as though the radio button group acts as a glass plate on top of all other controls. Has anyone seen this problem before?

I'm also seeing weird painting behavior if the edit box is only partially within the radio button group, like part of it gets painted gray when I click on the radio button and tries to paint itself again when I click on the edit box.

I've encountered the same problem.
Has anyone solved this problem (or worked around it...)?

I never did actually solve the problem. I chalked it up to a bug in either InstallShield or Windows Installer and told our UI people that I needed to change the layout of my controls on that dialog.

this is a guess but have you tried placing your radio buttons within a groupbox?
