View Full Version : Not Recognising COM dll Requirement

I have a VB6 project which uses 3rd party software ImageXpress and NotateXpress from Pegasus Inc. Their documentation states that distribution requires 6 dll's, two of which are ActiveX and 4 which are COM run-time dll's, all are located in System32. I've imported the project with the VB6 wizard and run both a static and a dynamic check but it does not seem to find a requirement for 3 of the dll's (all of which are COM). I have contacted Pegasus support and they say that all the dll's are required.

Can anyone please tell me:-

Is there a way that I can get them included?

Why is Installshield not recognising they are required?

Many thanks
Ian

There's no need to answer this thanks. I've since discovered that the PDW properly finds all the requirements and I can use that to build a DEP and import that to IS Express. It seems a slightly retrograde solution though and I have to wonder what MS knew about program requirements 5 years ago that InstallShield don't seem to know now.
