Is there an easy way configure InstallShield 10.5 to check whether certain files are in-use prior to beginning the installation?

Also, can it be set up to check for sufficient temporary disk space availability before starting the installation?

Thanks!

Usually it is required to have twice the size of the setup.exe during the installation. However during the installation the space required for the installation will be determined by the CostInitialize action.

Thanks smeaow, anyone know about the other question with checking for files that are in-use before the installation script runs?

thanks

Hi
Please refer Windows Installer help library article titled Fileinuse Dialog.
The InstallValidate action also notifies the user if one or more files to be overwritten or removed are currently in use by an active process, Refer InstallValidate Action of Windows Installer help.
