I don't know why but when I create a custom action which activate on a registry key, it goes all wrong .. and get it on my nerves :mad:

so this what I want to do:

I need to test 2 registry, if they DO NOT EXIST so I launch A.
then If the first registry is created but NOT THE OTHER then launch B.

but this is what I've done and got:

-> Custom Actions -> After ready to install dialog -> launchA
-> conditions -> software

then I click 'create new requirement' -> Registry Entry
-> entry ONE -> NOT FOUND

I repeat the same operation for entry TWO -> NOT FOUND

by default it puts a red cross so I change it into a green check for both conditions.

anyway I tried (and I tried many) it doesn't work. it launch A allways or none.

please HELP ! it drives me crazy !

A new system software requirement created with System Search Wizard cannot be used to detect existence of a registry entry. The entry (registry value name) selected must contain a non-NULL registry value data.

In any case, you will want to create and analyze the installation log to help understanding the problem.
