I'm comparing Express 5.x with Professional 10.5 and I can do something in the Express version that I cannot seem to do easily in the Pro version, which baffles me. I set the installation folder through our own vb app that sets a registry entry for the INSTALLDIR to use before launching the IS setup. In the Express version, I can set the INSTALLDIR to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\MyApp\Path. When I do this in Pro, it tells me it cannot find the network path. Is this not supported in the Pro version right from the Product Properties page?

That's correct, that you can't enter a registry key directly in the product properties view; instead, you can use a system search to populate a directory property...

Thanks for the answer. I wish it was as easy as Express makes it.
