Is there a way to change the Status message text of the Installer from VBScript..?

I know how to that from InstallScript code but I don't know how from VBScript..

Thanks,

Which status message are you referring to?

Something like calling the function SetStatusWindow in InstallScript.. But I would like to do that from VBScript, like when the VBScript code is executing , I would like to see some status messages in the installer windows..

Thanks,

A simple solution is to add records corresponding to your action to the ActionText table, using the Direct Editor view.

A more sophisticated approach is to send the running installation messages using MsiProcessMessage or Session.Message. Perhaps see this thread (http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105165) for an example, and also see the MSI Help Library page "Adding Custom Actions to the ProgressBar".
