View Full Version : What is DatabaseDir?

Hi

I'm now migrating to ISXE from another installer creator package.

I have a question which may be really silly but here goes anyway...

When setting the application files, I always have a folder called Database with the Identifier as [DATABASEDIR].

I read up in the help files and it tells me its for holding any databases that my software might have.

Thats great if I use databases, but I don't and to be honest, I don't want a folder called Database in my Install path.

I know I can rename it, but I find it irritating that I cannot delete the folder and not have any folder with an identifier as DatabaseDir.

Am I being silly or is this built into ISXE?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

Don't worry about it too much. While you cannot easily delete it, the folder will not be created on the target machine unless there are files in it.

Ah brilliant.

Thanks for your help. I'll ignore it from now on.

Cheers

Hello,
I have the same trouble. But, however the [DATABASEDIR] doesn't have any file inside, it is still being created on the target machine during the installation.
Is there any way to delete it?
