View Full Version : Custom condition for install

Hi,

In both IE5 and and X, I created a conditional install whereby the presence of a registry entry is required for the installation to proceed. Regardless of the version 5 or X and whether the registry entry is present of not, the installation fails and presents my custom message. I believe it relates to the fact that both backslashes and spaces in the registry key are converted to underscore characters so the condition will never be true. Is there a syntax convention I am missing to get the backslashes and spaces to be properly interpreted.

Many thanks.

For explanation, please refer to this thread (http://community.installshield.com/showthread.php?t=139026&highlight=reglocator). You will want to write a custom action for that purpose instead.
