Hello,
i'm using IS 2.12 as supplied with Boprland C++ Builder 5. I need to set up a system or user DSN (preferably both) in ODBC. I am setting the registry keys & values.

Here are the things i'm specifying:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ODBC.FileDSN
- Value=Default; Data=ODBC Data Source
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\DatabaseName
- Value = DBQ; Data = DatabaseDirectoryPath
- Value = Driver; Data = DriverDirectoryPath
- Value = FIL; Data = MS Access
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC\ODBC.INI\ODBC Data Sources
- Value = DatabaseName; Data = Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)

I'm setting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER stuff in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE & HKEY_USERS also.

When the Install has run & completed, all the required things have occurred apart from part of the ODBC actions - the DatabaseName & Driver have been set as both User & System DSNs, but the DatabaseDirectoryPath hasn't been set up, therefore there is no link between my BCB5 application & the Access database. I have tried using Value 'Database' instead of 'DBQ', also pointing to a location which already exists on the hard drive for the database. Neither of them solve my problem.
Has anyone solved this & can tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance...
