I need to be able to create an MSI installations file (i.e. one with .msi extension) for my VB6 project so that it can be installed in a Citrix environment. The Citrix machines are Windows 2000.

I have an evaluation version of Installshield X, but it is not clear how you can create these files. What version do I need to do this, and how is it done?

Have I given enough information here?

Thanks

After you've defined your installation package, you need to build it. Near the bottom of the treeview in IS X, you'll see a node called "Build". Expand that node and you'll see a child node called "Single Image". When you look at the properties of this type of build, you'll see an property called something like "Include setup.exe". Set this property to false and build the project. You'll be left with a single MSI file.
