Is there any way to specify the product name and product code from the command line in an express build.

I know with IS X Pro you can do it either with parameters or by setting path variables with environment variables? How about IS X Express?

Thanks,

Adam

ProductName property and ProductCode property are private properties, which cannot be overridden at a command line. This restriction holds for all MSI installations.

For usage and restrictions of different kinds of properties, please refer to About Properties (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/msi/setup/about_properties.asp).

I don't want to change these properties at Install Time but at build time.

See: http://helpnet.installshield.com/robo/projects/installshieldxhelplib/IHelpBuildLabels.htm

Thanks,

Adam

I apologize I misinterpreted your question.

I don't have InstallShield X Express Edition handy, so I can't say this with 100% certainty. If my memory serves, and after some digging in InstallShield HelpNet (http://documentation.installshield.com/), I don't believe Express Edition has that functionality.
