UPDATE - Never mind. It's in the help at InstallShield's web site and not in my local help. Looks like the installed help is out of date.

Did I dream that the Execute Process product bean returns a hidden property called returnValue that is the return code of the executed program? I can't find it anywhere in the help, but I coded it in my Java bean.

And does anyone know how to get Windows' CMD.EXE to return the executed program's return code to that property? I get zero no matter what. Thanks, Thorne

You can get the exit code from the process by querying the returnValue property (a hidden property). For instance

$P(<beanID>.returnValue)

or

$W(<beanID>.returnValue)

Not sure how you might get the return value from CMD.exe, however.
