View Full Version : Conditioned custom action during uninstall

I created installation where during uninstall I need to run custom action but only if certain feature is uninstalled. I searched the forums and found out the resulting MSI must be changed manually (after build) to accomplish this task (the changes made in "InstallExecuteSequence" table, changing condition of that certain custom action from "&NewFeature4>2" to "&NewFeature4=2").
I've done that and it works great. The only problem is that in order to change the MSI I cannot build Single Image with single Setup.exe file. Therefore I lose the ability to install Windows Installer and .NET framework as part of my installation.
My question is: can I still build single Setup.exe file but still maintain the ability to change the MSI after build? Is there other way to handle the situation?

If you make the change in the Project file (ISE file), which is also an MSI (with a ISE extension) the change will be in every build you make.
