View Full Version : ISX 3.03 error -1029 identical file names

I am using ISX 3.03. My application needs to install different DLLs for either WIN95/98/ME or W2K/NT. The problem is that both DLLs must have the same file name. When building the installation package I keep getting the error message -1029. The final distribution package always gets only one of the DLLs, the other one is lost. I tried different media, uncompressed or compressed, putting the files into different features - but this bug doesn´t get away.

Does somebody knows a solution? I actually just purchased ISX 3.03 in order to create OS-independent install packages. Now this is exactly what is not working...

This is a bug in 3.03. It has been fixed in Express 3.5x.

Thanks for your fast reply. If this is only working with ISX 3.5, can I get so a free update to ISX 3.5? I bought a product that is not doing what it should do, so I do not see why I should pay for an update!?
