Hey people,

Does anyone know how to create a response file using windows installer??
I know how to create one using Installshield, however, I'm unsure what differences there are between products.

Thanks in advance

I don't think you can create a response file using Windows Installer (not that I know of). I know you can't do it with Express. Have you evaluated Installshield Developer 7.0 yet? This brings installscript and the Windows Installer together. The UI is completely script driven but the underlying Execute Sequence stuff is Windows Installer. So you can create a Windows Installer setup (msi files and all) that uses Response files! It supports the migration of InstallShield Progessional projects as well.
