I have a bean that I can use to connect to a DB via JDBC. It works great outside of installshield. When I am inside of installshield I get the following exception:

Error: java.sql.SQLException: JZ00L: Login failed. Examine the SQLWarnings chained to this exception for the reason(s).
java.sql.SQLException: JZ00L: Login failed. Examine the SQLWarnings chained to this exception for the reason(s).

Any help would be appriciated

Can you post the SQL warnings chained to the exception that the stack trace mentions?

Scott,

You can unpack the setup.jar to check whether you have included the classes necessary to connect the DB.

All,

The issue came down to the character set that was being used. For some reason Installsheild was using a different character set and thus when the logon id and password where being sent to the server they where being sent incorrectly.

This issue has been solved.
