View Full Version : Global Property wrong in INI File

I have a global property named RELEASETYPE with a default value of "Test". The user can select Test, Prep or Prod from a dropdown or the command line. The value [RELEASETYPE] is being written to an INI file.

This works fine on our XP workstations and some WIN 2K servers, however the INI file one a couple boxes stays at the default Test value on other WIN 2K boxes consistantly.

The /l*v log output shows the value as being set to Prod or Prep, but the resulting INI file says Test.

I don't understand what would cause this.

Any ideas?

I would first verify if the INI file already exists on the system when the installation is run. If that's the case, I would then the action set to edit the INI file is not Do Not Overwrite.
