I have problems to display the ISX bitmaps if the targets computer graphic card is set to 256 colors.
If the graphic card is set to 256 colors all bitmaps are shown in dark black.
As soon as I set the number of colors to 16Bit everything is ok.

How can I ensure that even on target computers with their graphic card set to 256 colors the bitmaps are shown correctly (non dark black) ?

Are you using the default bitmaps with the dialogs or ones you created. When I try with the default ones they still look blue but are slightly pixelated. The white areas however show as yellow. The reason for this (I think) is because we are using high resolution bitmaps which have more than 256 colors, so on that setting it just adjusts to the closest color. Couple of suggestions:

1. Use your own bitmpas which appear the way you want when you save them as 256 color bitmaps (look at them in Paintbrush). Then they should look fine on any color depth.

2. Go to Requirements View and set the Color Depth to 256. This will prompt your user to increase the Color Depth before continuing the install.
