Hallo !

I' m using InstallShield Express 3.04. My Problem is the following:
If you build an install, you have to name all files to be installed later.
But what, if you only want to build a complete install, where
one directory exists, which later will contain different file-sets. But you only want to build an install-version one time,
and change the files in that special directory from which they
are installed later, so you can build different installs. But you don't have to use installshield everytime.
(For example a directory containing database-files, which should be changed from time to time)
Is this possible? (I hope so, or have i bought only ****?)

I hope you understand, what i wanted to say

Thanks
Thomas

Express does not support what you propose. The conventional method to do this would be to use Patching (which is supported in Developer 7.0).

However see Q105223 at the knowledge base of InstallShield Support. This was shown by another user on this group which might be a workaround for your problem.
