Hi,

My installation has the need to call some java code. But I am using this windows installer.

Anyone know how to do it (w/o poping up cmd screens) ?

I am thinking of using Jscript to instantiate Java object. But not sure how.

Or if any of you know where I can find examples of CA using Jscript, that'd be helpful.

thanks

Never used it myself, but I believe it is very similar to VBScript.

I'm not sure that JScript knows that much about Java (that is, has any special functions for working with Java). In what form is the Java code you need to run: an executable JAR file, or some loose class files, or...?

Either Jar file or loose class files will do.

Previous, I was thinking sth like Rhino. But then realize that it's egg and chicken - Rhino is a JavaScript interpreter that can access (run) Java classes, but Rhino itself is implemented by Java...

Now, I am installing JRE together, so now kind of solve it.

Thanks

Right, so a launch-an-EXE action that launches java.exe with the -jar [PATH_TO_JAR] argument might do the trick...
