I am kind of a MSIEXEC.exe hell.

Everytime I reboot my machine or start InstallShield X, many instance of MSIEXEC.exe starts up trying to install past versions of InstallScript MSI projects.

I have been manually deleting many (12+) MSIEXEC.exe processes within the Task Manager.

How can I cleanup (remove) all these old instances of InstallScript MSI projects to stop this?

Do I use MSIZAP.exe? If so, then how do I determine the product code or msi package name of the loaded MSI installs that I want to remove?

Thanks

It sounds like you are encountering the MSI Auto-Repair behaviour.

If it appears, remove the problem project from Add/Remove Programs.

Downloading and running the appropriate Windows Installer Cleanup Utility may help. If you see the problem project in Windows Installer Cleanup, remove it.

This third party utility is useful for removing orphaned registry entries that may interfere. InstallShield does not support its use. If you have any questions, please contact the vendor.
