View Full Version : Language Problem

My Problem is as follows:

I have created a setup, working fine. Now we tried running the setup on a computer, installed with win2k, german.

The setup has been created on an english w2k machine, sp2.
The language of the setup is german.

On the target machine (w2k, german), the following dialog comes up at the start of the installation:

"Die Sprache dieses Installationspaketes wird von Ihrem System nicht unterstützt"

Translated: "The language of the installation package is not supported by your system"

What does this mean? It is a german setup, and it is not supported on a german w2k system?

Please, help me!

Thanks a lot,
Dietmar Stupka

When you run this Setup on an English machine you don't get any errors right? If so, do the dialogs all show up in German?

Do an uncompressed build (if not already done). Open Setup.ini (in your release lcoation). What are the Keywords and Values under the "Languages" Section? There should be another ini file located there. What is it's name?

I already found the reason for this problem.

-> The application was already installed on the target machine!

But in my oppinion, the error message is something strange...

Do you have an idea whats wrong? Are there some strings missing?

Thanks for your help,
