is it possible to unistall only 2-3 files?

during the unistaller procedure I want to leave in my harddisk few files created after installation (using my program). In unistaller procedure I copy those files in a new directory (out of program's TARGETDIR) but when the unistall is finished I see my files deleted

:(

Can I trasform the files in a "no-unistalled files"? How I can?

Hello the_Khaos,

Generally the best way to leave files behind on uninstallation is to install them "under the radar." You can do this by originally using, for example, XCopyFile (http://helpnet.installshield.com/robo/projects/devstudio9helplangref/LangrefXCopyFile.htm) to place them on the target between a Disable (http://helpnet.installshield.com/robo/projects/langref/LangrefDisable00000677.htm#ggviewer-offsite-nav-8990832)(LOGGING) and Enable (http://helpnet.installshield.com/robo/projects/langref/LangrefEnable00000679.htm#ggviewer-offsite-nav-8990832)(LOGGING).

Or, put the files in there own component and mark them as permanent
