Hi All-

I'm getting Error 1628: Failed to complete installation while using ISDev7.02

I ran my install on a W2K sp2 machine and it fails.

I ran it on another machine with W2K sp3 and it fails.

I ran it on yet another machine with W2K sp1 and it runs successfully.

My install also works successfully on my development machine. W2K sp2. I upgraded this machine to sp3 and it still worked fine.

Log file does not show errors on my development machine. Don't know how to generated log file on my other test machines where IS developer is not installed??

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, so I upgraded the machine with sp1 on it to sp2 and my install ran successfully. Then upgraded it to sp2 and again the install was successful. So, the sp's seem to be a non-issue.

I then noticed that on the machine that the install consistantly failed on, if I envoked setup.exe without using the autorun file (double click on it) it installs fine. Who know?? This machine has a DVD+RW drive where the machine that autorun worked for had a CD-ROM drive.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone or provide clues as to what the deal is?
