View Full Version : Error when I use a custom action

11-11-2003, 03:42 AM
I´m trying to plubish a program thru the active directory.
I had set the .msi package into a folder in a win2000 server computer.
This program appears in the "Control Panel/Add and remove programs/Add new programs" of all of the host computers connected to the server, so you can install it into a host computer or not.
When I push the "Add button" apears the progress bar and start installing my application, but suddenly appears a dialog box displaying "1: 33".
I have being doing several test and I have become to the conclusion that when the .msi package contains custom actions the installation fails displaying this error.

Other way to lauch a .msi file is typing in the "Start button/Run" the following sentence: msiexec.exe /qb+ /I "\\server\Managed applications\MyApplication.msi"
Using this occurs the same error.

Does anybody Knows why I can´t use custom actions?
What I should do to use custom actions?
