Progress Screen

Hi,
I am new to Installshield Devstudio 9. I am working on Install script project. I want to have the installer to show only a progress status screen, no other screens.
I have clues for MSI projects setting UI level, but not for Install script project. Please suggest me if there is any method to make the installation silent except with a progress status screen
having cancel button.

If you look at your script, you'll see a function OnFirstUIBefore()...read in the help about it. You can take all dialog calls out of that function.

I tried even that, but there are some install shileld wizard dialogs that are popped initially. Also there was StartCopy screen comes up before actual progress.
Any sample script to get rid of even these?!...

I don't think you can get rid of the init dialog, but if StartCopy comes up, you missed to delete the call to it. It should look like this: nResult = SdStartCopy(..);
If you want the setup to run with the default settings and without dialogs, your functions could look like this:

function OnFirstUIBefore()
{
Enable(STATUSEX);
return 0;
}

function OnFirstUIAfter()
{
Disable(STATUSEX);
}

that should do the trick...

Hi Shekhar,

You may want to set the "Small initialization dialog" release setting to Yes.
