Does anyone know what the "Executable File" product property does?
The description in the online help is:

(InstallScript projects only) Enter the name of the application's main executable file. This value can be retrieved at run time by calling the MediaGetData function.

What does this mean. If I fill in the name of an executable, does it get run or something? Or is it just so that the MediaGetData function returns something, and why?

I'm confused and the help library doesn't help much...

jimshatt,

It is used to initialize IFX_PRODUCT_KEY, which can be used to set the per-application path in the registry for the application.

We provide code in the default "OnMoving" to do this, but since most setups don't do this anymore, the code is commented out.
