View Full Version : Urgent Help with Calling Win32 DLL

10-15-2003, 05:02 PM
I have built a Win32 DLL in C++ and want to use this from DevStudio to obtain the name of the network logon server. I working from within the VS.NET 2003 IDE.

In the Files and Folders page I am trying to add the DLL to the Support Folder but its just not copying there, not sure if I am doing something wrong?

In the script file I am going to use UseDLL to load the DLL, then call CallDLLFx to call the function and then UnUseDLL to unload the DLL from memory, is this correct?

Ok I have managed to sort this out, I was unable to add the DLL to the support files folder in Files and Folders page. I tried opening the setup project in the standalone version of DevStudio and then I could add the DLL without any problem.

Is anyone else getting this problem?

I can't seem to reproduce this. In the Files and Folders view, can you add any files, DLL or not? And can you add files to the other folders in the view?
