View Full Version : Why Application can not find Updates

I registered my Product and Version,then create a message for test Update, but I always receive message "The Update Service did not find updates for your application". If anyone can tell me why this happen.
On the other hand, if my product version is 1.00.0722, I should register it as 1.00.0722 or as 1.00?

By default the agent uses the major and minor fields so you need to use 1.00. However, if you want to use the full version string you need to do the following (depending on the product you are using)

For InstallShield Developer and Express:

Go to the Update service view and select the "Use Default Product Version" property from the property sheet .This property is intentionally grayed out by default.
In the bottom pane of the view enter the full string in the "Version Number" field.
