View Full Version : How to close a browser opened by LaunchWebBrowser bean with a custom link?

I used the LaunchWebBrowser to open a local copy of index.hta file(same as .html file but this allow easier stripping of the "chrome" in the browser window) .

I wonder if anyone knows a way to close this browser using a custom link on the page itself instead of using the "x" button on the upper right hand side of the window?

I tried with:

<A HREF="javascript:window.close()"><font face="Arial" color="#7854A3" style="text-decoration:none"><b>close</b></font></A></br>

For obivous reason, it didn't work.

FYI, I found a way to do it.

Using a link to close a window itself, which is opened by ISMP LaunchWebBrowser bean, not by javascript:

<font face="Arial" onClick="window.close();" color="#7854A3" style="text-decoration:none"><b>close</b></font></br>

if it's an image:

<img src="arrow.gif" onClick="window.close();"width="40" height="16" border="0">

simple enough.

Smile always!
