in my installation I have to launch an external installer and I would like to show an image in my own dialog sequence to clarify what the end user has to check and what must not be checked so the product works

my question now: how do I do it?

I tried it with the readme panel and a html file but I see the image file's code instead of the image

I don't have any experience in java programming or programming custom beans, so any tips related to that
(if it's the only way) would be appreciated

thanks

It should work to lay down the image file on the target system. Then in your HTML, refer to the image like...

<img src="file://C:\img.gif">

or

<img src="file://$D(tmp)/img.gif">

I tried it but the panel still showed me the code of the file (like you open a compiled .exe file in an editor)

beside that, it is necesary to show the image before the install action bean, so how do I get the file onto the target machine without letting run the whole product tree?

what I pretend is to show the image between a destination panel and the install preview panel or installation itself (install action bean)
