View Full Version : Solaris JVM core dump on installer exit?

When my installer finishes (though oddly, this doesn't happen with the uninstaller), it generates a core dump. I'm using Solaris 2.8, JVM 1.4.1_02. Fortunately, this is when it's closing down, so it's not causing the install to fail, but clearly I can't ship with this kind of error.

I've scanned the Java forums/bug list and I don't see this specific problem. Does anyone here have an idea what's wrong? Maybe some setting or work around?

Thanks,
Chris

AFter much testing, this appears to be a problem specific to the Xserver I'm using. I can't reproduce it either with a smaller test case or on other Xservers.

I'm using X-Win32.

Just an FYI in case anyone else runs into this and searches these forums.
