I use the User Input Panel bean, and want to add custom validation code (as instructed in the "Validating User Input" page in the help) to a Directory field I put there.
My custom class was added, and when the Directory field is the ONLY field on the panel, the code doesn't work, and the error I get in the log.txt file is:
Install.product.install, com.installshield.wizardx.panels.UserInputPanel, wrn, could not validate field 'myDirectory'

The odd thing is that when I add another field (text) and do any validation on it, the validation code for the Directory works!!

This is very strange.... Any help will be VERY welcome.

Thx.

This is a known issue.

To correct the problem, add the following line to your custom validator's build method...

support.putClass(com.installshield.wizardx.panels.UserInputFieldValidator);

That should take care of the problem.
