Does anyone have any code to parse an XML file?

I am using a config.xml file with certain tags and values, and I need to load the values of these tags into the installer as the default values for various fields.

I'm ignorant of alot of the javabean writing, but am learning as I go...I found some java code on the internet to do this, but it is not set up in the ISMP .java structure format.

Thanks.

Hello,

In the XSL directory where ISMP resides there are sample XSL style sheets that can be applied to a XML project file created by ISMP. Also in the help manual there is tutorial called "Using XSL Stylesheets" which is a good place to start.

good luck!

There is also an extra bean to apply an XSL transform to an XML file at install time called XMLFileUpdate. This extra bean can be found at...

I see that parser.jar is available in the MP502 lib dir. I need to parse XML in generating a custom Product Panel for a Multi-installer suite project and I would like to use this parser if possible. I assume it gets packaged with the other jars at build time.

What is version level of this parser and where can I find a JavaDoc for it?
